The Manipur cabinet has approved a Rs. 10 lakh one-time cash incentive to Tokyo Olympics-bound weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by chief minister N Biren Singh. Deputy CM Yumnam Joykumar Singh and works minister Biswajit Singh were present at the meeting. CM N Biren Singh had last month congratulated world champion weightlifter Mirabai Chanu for her entry into the Tokyo Olympics.
