UK court allows extradition of match-fixer Sanjeev Chawla to India

Bookie Sanjeev Chawla, who was accused in the match-fixing involving South African cricket team including captain Hansie Cronje in 2000, might soon be brought to India after the UK approved his extradition. Chawla's extradition had been overruled in 2017 on the grounds that conditions in Tihar Jail posed a risk to his human rights but were reversed in 2018, after which the case has been forward to UK Home Secretary.
