Vrinda Rathi creates history, the First Indian Female Umpire to officiate T20 Mumbai League

The T20 Mumbai League witnessed history as Vrinda Rathi became the 1st female national umpire to officiate in the T20 Contest. Cricketer turned umpire, 29-year-old Vrinda Rathi was inspired by NZ's Kathy Cross who officiated during her 2013 World Cup final against NZ. She came 2nd in BCCI's level 2 umpiring exam for match referees. Chennai based N Janani was along with her & now the 2 will officiate men's 1st class matches.
