1st in India, Jamia Millia Islamia planning to become emission-free

It is the first time in the nation that a central university is planning to become emission-free and fully renewable energy-reliant. Jamia Millia Islamia is having a 2.25MW solar power plant, which is the largest of all the central academies in India. Taking care of the environment, it has also started constructing 2 sewage water treatment plants. Other than this it is planning for green building concept in the campus.
