Though Facebook claimed it is doing everything to fight the spread of fake news and that it is removing 10 lakh fake accounts every day in India, a survey has revealed on Tuesday that in every 2 Indians 1 is receiving fake news in 30 days. The main platforms which help in spreading fake news are Facebook and WhatsApp. The survey stated that 53% of the fake news was related to the upcoming elections.
