Cumbria coast now has the world's largest offshore wind farm

The world's largest offshore wind farm Walney Extension has been opened in the Irish Sea, off the Cumbria coast. The wind farm has a capacity of 659 megawatts that is enough to power 590,000 homes. The farm spans an area the size of 20,000 football pitches. The wind farm will also help in creating thousands of high-quality jobs. According to the officials, the firm's interest won't change with Brexit.
