Apple’s 2019 iPhone XS successor could feature a new antenna design to improve indoor navigation. The 2019 iPhones are reportedly planning to use modified-PI (MPI) antennas instead of liquid crystal polymer (LCP) antennas you would found in iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. LCP limits the RF performance because of technology limitation and production issues, but this will change with the new MPI antennas.
