Apple replacing iPhone battery cases for free due to charging problems

Apple is replacing malfunctioning iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR Smart Battery Cases that were sold between January 2019 and October 2019 at Apple stores or other retailers. It will be a free replacement program. These defective battery cases often will not charge or won’t charge the phone inside the case, many customers have complained. However, Apple has assured there’s no safety issue in these batteries.
