Skies turned blood-red in an Indonesian province over the weekend. It is all because of the widespread forest fires which have plagued huge parts of the country. Every year fires create a smoky haze that ends up blanketing the entire South-East Asian region. Experts say the unusual sky is caused by a phenomenon known as Rayleigh scattering. A Jambi province resident reported pain in the eyes and throat.
