BrahMos-armed Sukhoi-30MKI fighter squadron inducted at Indian Airforce's Thanjavur base

The Indian Airforce today inducted the first Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft squadron at the Thanjavur airbase in Tamil Nadu. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria were present during the induction ceremony. DRDO chairman G Satheesh Reddy also attended the event. The SU-30MKI are being equipped with the air-launched version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles.
