China's giant telescope to start looking for alien lifes from September 2020

Chinese state media outlet Science and Technology Daily claims that the country’s FAST (Five-hundred-metre Aperture Spherical Telescope) is going to start looking for alien life, rather signals starting September 2020. The giant telescope started functioning in January, but has been undergoing renovation and upgrades to minimise the risk of signal interference which could hamper the scientific undertaking of finding aliens.
