Chinese scientists implanted monkey with human brain genes for intelligence evolution studies

Chinese Scientists put human brain genes into monkeys to study the unique evolution of human intelligence. They inserted MCPH1, a gene that plays a role in human brain development, into 11 rhesus monkeys. They found that monkeys' brains similar to human brains took longer tie to develop. The animals performed better in short-term memory tests as well as the reaction time as compared to wild monkeys.
