Collecting data on kids: Tiktok parent company sued

ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok has been sued after allegedly violating child privacy laws and data on kid users through the video app. In 2017, ByteDance acquired Musical.ly and later that was re-branded as TikTok. Popular app TikTok was aware of these allegations that ByteDance collected data about the users that are of below the age group of 13. A TikTok official said that they will announce a resolution soon.
