Competition between Amazon and Walmart to buy Flipkart

Flipkart is planning to sell a minority stake, which could go up to 50-60% say, insiders. The competition is between Walmart and Amazon to own the startup. While owners Sachin and Binny Bansal prefer to sell the stake to Walmart, Flipkart’s investors would prefer a deal with Amazon. They valued the deal at $20bn, which is higher than Flipkart’s valuation of $12bn. None of the three firms has commented on the deal.
