Coronavirus death toll rises over 1000 outside China as Italy records 168 fatalities in a day

Italy has recorded 168 coronavirus deaths, the country's highest single-day toll to date; furthering the number of fatalities outside China to more than 1000. In Italy, 631 people have died from the Covid-19 disease which is caused by the novel coronavirus and 10,149 have been infected in just over 2 weeks. Today's toll has raised the number of fatalities outside China to 1115. In India, 14 new cases were reported in a day.
