A new study suggests ancient people might have moved the massive megaliths of Stonehenge into place by greasing giant sleds with pig lard and then sliding the stones on them. Re-analyzing ceramic pots that earlier believed were used to cook food, and archaeologists suggest the pots were used to store fat which dripped off pigs. The grease was stored as lard or tallow and used to lubricate the sleds for moving the stones.
