DRDO starts work to produce hypersonic missiles

The Defence Research and Development (DRDO) has started working towards the production of the 'next generation' hypersonic missiles, that can travel at 5 times the speed of sound. A wind tunnel to test and fine-tune the technology will be operational soon and defence minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the facility soon. China, Russia, and the United States are also testing various types of hypersonic weapons.
