eBay India formally part of Flipkart

Flipkart and eBay have successfully concluded the merger transaction and now eBay.in will be owned by Flipkart. The merger follows Flipkart’s $1.4 billion (Rs 9,000 crore) fund raise from eBay, Chinese Internet firm Tencent, and software giant Microsoft Corp in April this year. eBay will remain an independent entity as a part of Flipkart. Customers from both Flipkart and eBay will respectively get access to the inventory from each firm.
