European Space Agency opens plant to turn moondust into oxygen

Breathable air and rocket fuel are must for long-term presence on Moon and European Space Agency is working on creating both using the Moon itself. It has started running a prototype plant to convert moondust (currently simulated) into oxygen for air & fuel. It unlocks high amounts of oxygen using molten salt electrolysis superheating the dust and migrating the oxygen along the salt till it's collected at an anode.
