FB says it stored millions of Instagram users' passwords in plain text, leaving them to people with access to certain internal systems. Last month, it reported for tens of thousands of Insta users, now revised up to millions. Passwords are supposedly stored in an encrypted format that allows websites to confirm what you enter without directly reading it, but various errors caused FB's systems to log passwords in plain text.
