Facebook awards research grants for study on impact of social media on elections

FB takes an initiative to prevent manipulation of social platforms by providing its data to academics studying the impact of social media on elections. About 60 researchers from 30 academic institutions across 11 countries were selected under a review process by the Social Science Research Council & Social Science One. Researchers will be granted access to FB's internal data in a secure manner protecting people's privacy.
