Facebook defended its strategy of paying people to monitor them

Facebook defended its data harvesting app to its employees after Apple revoked a Facebook research app that was spying on people in exchange of cash. Some of the employees were furious at their own app. However, an internal memo of Facebook was leaked that said the app did not collect any sensitive user data and they would not harm their relationship with their users and Apple with such a move.
