Facebook, Instagram took action on 20.95 Mn content pieces for harassment, hate speech, other reasons

Tech giant Meta on Tuesday released its monthly compliance report for Facebook and Instagram for India which showed that Facebook took action against 18.5 Mn content pieces on its platform between April 1-April 30, 2022. Of these, 11.8 Mn pieces were spam. The platform also took action against 2.5 Mn pieces for violent and graphic content and 2.1 Mn pieces for adult nudity and sexual activity.
