First time ever, more than half of the world's population in online

According to the latest report, more than 74,500 GB of data is being transferred every second while over 21.7 billion devices are connected to the internet. Since 2013, over a billion new mobile devices have come online. This is the first time when more than half of the world is participating in a global digital economy. However, the report also says that the rate of people going online is slowing down gradually.
