For restricting ads on third-party sites, Google fined 1.49 billion euros by EU

For the 3rd time, the European Union has targetted Google as the commission has fined Google 1.49 billion euros (USD 1.69 billion) for illegal misuse of its dominant position in the market for the brokering of online search adverts. The EU earlier charged google with a €2.4 billion fine for demoting competing shopping services in searches, and a record-breaking €4.34 billion fine for illegal restrictions on the use of Android.
