A major technical issue on Tuesday took down multiple media platforms and news websites. While there has been no official communique thus far, Twitter speculation indicates that it is a issue stemming from the server (AWS) or cloud service provider (Fastly). Thanks to the issue, leading news websites including Financial Times, Guardian Insider, The Verge, New York Times, Buzz Feed and the BBC remain unusable.
