Google is reportedly shutting down its Emmy Award-winning VR film division Spotlight Stories. The studio’s best-received work ‘Pearl’ was nominated for Academy Award & won an Emmy in 2017. The group worked with Wes Anderson to bring a VR behind-the-scenes feature on the making of his film ‘Isle of Dogs’. In November they released ‘Age of Sails’ a narrative film that could be watched on mobile and high-end VR systems.
