Google winds down free Station Wi-Fi program in India, thanks GoI for support

Google, which is currently working with Indian Railways and Railtel to bring fast, free public WiFi to over 400 of the busiest railway stations in India by launching 'GStation' program 6 years ago, said that it will discontinue its Station WiFi program in India this year. Getting online has become much simpler and cheaper in India and mobile data plans have become more affordable, Google added.
