Google chose not to disclose the breach of Google+ user data from 2015-18

Google has revealed that they did not report a software vulnerability that gave access to private Google+ data to developers of the 438 applications of the affected API between 2015-2018. The breach made user data like names, email addresses, birth dates, gender, occupation, places lived and profile photos vulnerable but Google found no evidence of any misuse. Google now intends to shut down Google+ by August 2019.
