Hawaii Observatory's latest data shows steep rise in CO2 for 7th year

As per new data, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased by the 2nd highest annual rise in the past 6 decades. Scientists warned for more than a decade that concentrations of more than 450 ppm risk triggering extreme weather events & temperatures rise as high as 2C. The CO2 growth rate is still very high; the increase from last May was well above the avg for the past decade.
