Huawei facing uncertainties following the new US chip curbs

Huawei has said that they have categorically opposed the amendments made by the U.S Department of Commerce to its foreign direct product rule. Huawei officials have said that the amendments target Huawei Technologies specifically as it would ban the company from using U.S software and hardware in certain strategic semi-conductor processes and it would further deeply affect Huawei’s chip-making ability.
