WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton still backs the idea of deleting Facebook. Speaking at Wired’s 25th-anniversary summit, Acton said, “If you want to be on Facebook and you want to have ads thrust in front of you, go to town.” Acton parted his ways with Facebook in 2017 over a conflict with Mark Zuckerberg regarding WhatsApp’s monetization. #DeleteFacebook movement swept the US at the time of the Cambridge Analytica scandal.
