Time to Be Proud, India! India designs & develops the world's largest optical telescope-the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), to be built in Hawaii. A N Ramaprakash, associate program director of TMT said India has a big share in the development of the telescope's control system, software & instruments. The sensors are built in Puducherry, actuators work in Bengaluru, few components in Mumbai & telescope control system in Pune.
