India ranked 140th in the 'World Press Freedom Index 2019'

Reporters Sans Frontiers (RSF) is a non-profit organization that documents attacks on journalists around the world. In 2019 index, RSF finds hatred against journalists has turned to violence. No. 1 rank is held by Norway for the index, followed by Finland, Sweden & Netherland. India is ranked 140 out of 180 countries considering unsafe with lead to general elections which is considered unsafe for journalists.
