India reviewing WhatsApp compliance before approving its payment service

The payment service of WhatsApp is long due, and India is reviewing an audit report on data practices of the popular messaging service before giving permission to its payment service. Officials from the National Payments Corp. of India said that they had received the data localization compliance system audit report and once things get approved, WhatsApp will step into the already crowded digital payments market in India.
