Mobile network company achieves world's first 2Gbps-capable 4G data call

Following speed demonstration at Mobile World Congress and testing in Sweden, Australia's mobile network Telstra have successfully made the world's first 2 Gbps-capable 4G data call. Telstra used Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon X24 LTE modem powered test platform and Ericsson's Radio System base-station, core network and software to make this call. This technology will be deployed in select locations soon.
