Shazam, the popular song identification app, has been acquired by Apple. Apple had announced the acquisition in December 2017 and has completed the process. Apple Music's vice president Olive Schusser said that Shazam was one of the first apps to be launched on Apple's app store and they are happy to bring this experience to their users to enjoy music. Apple intends to make the app ad-free for all users.
