Doug Loverro, the official in charge of the NASA human spaceflight division has suddenly stepped down just days before US is gearing up to send astronauts back into space from American soil for the first time since the Space Shuttle program had retired almost a decade ago. According to reports, Loverro had broken a rule during NASA’s recent procurement of a spacecraft capable of landing humans on the moon.
