NASA plans to collide spacecraft into Asteroid in 2022

In a first, NASA is planning to launch a spacecraft that will crash into an asteroid in 2022, to explain and demonstrate planetary defense technique. NASA said the asteroid doesn't pose any threat to earth. It is a Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) to measure the change in the asteroid's orbits around the sun. The scientists are working on it to launch it during 2021 summer, in sci-fi film style.
