Researchers have used the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) to measure the temperature of a rocky Earth-like exoplanet called TRAPPIST-1 b. What's notable is that this is the "first detection of any form of light emitted by an exoplanet" which is "as small and as cool as the rocky planets in our own solar system."
