Sometimes technology can be harmful at the security level and the example is here. This whole time in between the Indo-Pak tensions, the locations of fighter jets were being tracked by the civilians through open-source tracking sites like Flight Radar 24, site that tracks real-time flight movement. People even tweeted the live positions of flights though Military planes have an option of encrypting it to not get tracked.
