Naval version of Tejas successfully takes off from aircraft carrier, hits another major milestone

The naval version of indigenously built Tejas light combat aircraft successfully took off from the deck of the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in a big leap in the development of the jet. The ski-jump deck is an upwardly curved ramp on the deck of aircraft carriers designed to provide sufficient take-off lift for fighter jets. The aircraft made its 1st landing on the deck of INS Vikramaditya which is yet another milestone.
