'New Material Recovery Lab' in Austin: Apple expands Global Recycling programs

Apple announced a new 9000 sq foot Material Recovery Lab based in Austin focussed on discovering future recycling processes & further investments in its recycling programs. The company reported the success of its existing efforts around recycling & refurbishing Apple devices & keeping e-waste away from landfills. It introduced Daisy, the recycling robot that disassembles different iPhone models at the rate of 200 iPhones/hour.
