New Strain of HIV identified first time since 2000: US Researchers
US researchers have identified a new strain of HIV for the first time since the year 2000. It falls within the same type behind the global HIV pandemic that kicked off in 1981. Dr. Anthony Fauci said there is no reason to panic or worry about it a little bit and not a lot of people are infected with this. He added 'this is an outlier'. It's still unclear whether this subtype acts differently from others.
