Online platforms Whatsapp & Signal don't cooperate law agencies citing encryption: Govt

The government officials told to Rajya Sabha panel that online platforms like Whatsapp, Signal do not cooperate law enforcement agencies referring end-to-end encryption. The platforms even raised privacy concerns & didn't honour lawful requisitions. The panel includes 14 members from 10 political parties, has held several meetings over the alarming issue of pornography on social media & its effects on children and society.
