New Space India Limited (NSIL) is a commercial subsidiary for ISRO. An American firm has purchased a payload slot on the first commercial launch of ISRO’s newest rocket called Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV). The purpose of SSLV is to inject small satellites weighing up to 500 kg in low-earth orbits. NSIL is considered to be ISRO’s 2nd commercial arm after Antrix Corporation. They will provide commercial space solutions.
