NASA & ESA asteroid scientists and spacecraft engineers are set to meet in Rome from 11-13 Sept to review the progress of the project known as the Asteroid Impact Deflection Assessment. This operation aims at deflecting the lower portion of a double asteroid. A spacecraft will crash into the asteroid & another will reach the asteroid to study the crash site and collect required info on the impacts of the collision.
