Russia claims Facebook and Google published political ads on election day even after the ban

Russian state communications regulator Roskomnadzor said that Google and Facebook had permitted political advertising during regional elections on Sunday despite being asked to prohibit such advertising. "Such activities are seen as interference with Russia's domestic affairs and hampering the behaviour of the Russian Federation's free elections," the watchdog said. Russian is holding elections including Moscow.
