If you think all animals need oxygen to live, then you will be surprised to know that an animal that doesn't need oxygen to live has been found. Researchers just discovered a unique organism that doesn't breathe; instead, the parasite lives in a low oxygen environment. It lives in a salmon tissue and steals all the nutrients from it. It saves energy by not having to copy genes for things it no longer needs.
