ShareChat actioned against 5.2 Mn content pieces in September 2022

Indian social media platform ShareChat has actioned against 5.2 Mn content pieces (5,261,903) in the month of September, as per its monthly compliance report mandated under the IT rules. Of this, ShareChat took down 4.3 Mn content pieces under the ‘user generated content (UGC)’ for breaching the community standards while 224K pieces and 46K pieces were taken down under the ‘sexally explicit’ category and ‘comments’ category respectively.
